We examine the nonlinear dynamical behavior of a spinor Bose-Einstein condensate in a double-well potential. Considering a condensate with large number of atoms, such that it can be described using the mean field theory, we separate the spinor dynamics from the spatial dynamics under the single-mode approximation. We limit ourselves to certain initial conditions under which the spatial mode is frozen so that we can focus on the spinor dynamics only. Identifying collective spin variables of our system, we derive the corresponding nonlinear equations of motion for them. Employing standard stability analysis, we find and characterize fixed points of the system. For a wide range of physical parameters such as tunneling strength and non-linear interactions, as well as for various initial preparations of the system, we identify qualitatively different dynamical regimes possible in the system. In particular, complete and incomplete oscillations of spin variables between quantum wells are found. We also show that by bringing some fixed points close to each other in the phase space of the system, it is possible to induce amplitude modulation to those otherwise regular tunneling oscillations. 相似文献

The spectral structure of two parameter unbounded operator pencils of waveguide type is studied. Theorems on discreteness
of the spectrum for a fixed parameter are proved. Variational principles for real eigenvalues in some parts of the root zones
are established. In the case of n = 1 (quadratic pencils) domains containing the spectrum are described (see Fig. 1–3). Conditions in the definition of the

In this article a new technique was developed to fabricate scaffolds with a unique microstructure by solid–liquid separation in combination with particulate-leaching. Firstly, the effects of polymer concentration, quenching temperature on the porous morphology and the mechanical property of obtained scaffolds during solid–liquid separation have been investigated. Then, salt granules as porogen were introduced into the solid–liquid phase separation to produce the unique pore structure of the scaffold. The pore diameter of the scaffold could be controlled with the particulate size and the wall of pores possessed special microstructure, which enhanced the pore interconnectivity. The cell culture results confirmed that a good interconnectivity of the scaffold prepared by the improved solid–liquid separation was useful for nutrition transportation and cell proliferation. Atomization mechanisms of copper, platinum, iridium and manganese were studied by taking into account several parameters affecting the number of gaseous atoms present in the atomizer. The contributions of thermal expansion and diffusion to the dissipation rate of atoms were investigated. It was observed that the dissipation process cannot be described by diffusion only. Thermal expansion substantially contributed to the removal of atoms from the furnace and should not be ignored. It was possible to decide to what extent the several processes affect the concentration of the gaseous atoms at any time. From the Ea values obtained for the elements studied, the last step leading to gaseous atoms for copper, platinum and iridium was found to be the thermal dissociation of dimers in the gas phase; for manganese this was the dissociation of its monoxide in the gas phase. 相似文献
